Anthony J. Kussel of Babson Park passed away Friday, February 05, 2010 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.
Anthony was born and raised in Berwyn, Illinois. A graduate of St. Phillips High School, he served in the United State Army in Germany during the Korean War. He graduated from the Goodman School of Drama in Chicago, and worked as an actor - for many years associated with the Black Hills Passion Play - or stage technician until retiring from the stage. He then embarked on a second career as an artist/woodcarver until his death.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth, three nephews and two nieces, and the daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter of his heart, Terri, Marvin and Kari Ward. A true "Renaissance Man", Anthony will be remembered as a gifted actor, an innovative artist and a clever wit whose gift of laughter he so generously shared.
Memorial Mass will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 13, 2010 at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Father Anthony Bluett officiating.
In lieu of flowers, a contribution to the DePaul Theatre School, 2135 North Kenmore Avenue, Chicago, IL 60614 would be appreciated.
