Anna Pauline Hartdorn Pinder, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and special friend passed away on April 30, 2024 in South Carolina.
She was born January 2, 1938 in Newark, New Jersey to Anne Toto Phillips and Ernest G. Hartdorn. Anna lived in Woodbridge, New Jersey for 10 years and was a member of the Woodbridge United Methodist Church, where she held the position of Financial Secretary for seven years. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Andover, New Jersey for 25 years. In 1985, George and Anna moved to Lake Wales and joined Alturas Methodist Church where she remained a member until her passing. They were a committed and dedicated couple, serving their church in many capacities. Anna served as treasurer and financial secretary for over 22 years, beginning in 1986.
Anna was preceded in death by her loving husband of 25 years, George W. Pinder, Sr.; daughter, Laura MacEmcy Christensen; and parents, Anne Phillips and Ernest G. Hartdorn. She is survived by her sons, Dennis E. “Cutter” MacEmcy, Donald J. MacEmcy and wife Amy, and Gregory W. Pinder; daughters, Kathleen MacEmcy Colvin and Marie MacEmcy Labbate; sister, Rose Marie Hartdorn; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be scheduled at Lake Wales Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her honor can be sent to the Alturas Methodist Church Memorial Fund (Post Office Box 56, Alturas, Florida 33820).
