Amy Pond Vallie passed away on March 24, 2026, in Tampa, Florida. She was born on December 2, 1936, in Frostproof, Florida where she was raised. She later moved and planted her roots in Bartow, Florida where she raised her three daughters.

Amy was a retired clerical assistant who dedicated many years to her work. She was a cherished member of the First Presbyterian Church of Frostproof, if she was not able to attend church in person, she would watch online at First Baptist Church of Frostproof. She also devoted time to the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 3 in Bartow.

She leaves behind her loving daughters, Jan Amer and her husband Fred of Tampa, and Laura Baisden of Mulberry; sisters, Billie P. Phillips of Belleair, Laura P. Stokes of Bartow, and Becky P. Franz and her husband Rick of Seminole. She also leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. Amy was preceded in death by her daughter Lola Ann West (Charboneau), her parents William and Lola Pond, her brother William Pond, Jr., and her sister Julia P. Williams.

A private graveside gathering by the family will be held to celebrate her going home to Jesus at Silver Hill Cemetery in Frostproof. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.marionnelsonfuneralhome.com.
