LAKE WALES--Amanda Matilda Shuman of Lake Wales died of heart failure Monday (Nov. 06, 2006) in Winter Haven. She was 83.

Born April 14, 1923 in Frostproof; she has been a lifelong resident. She was a homemaker, member of the New Harvest Worship Center and a former member of the CB Club.

Survivors include her daughters, Shirley Ellen Morton of Lake Wales; son, James “Jimmy” Shuman of Boaz, AL; brothers, Dick Grace of Zephyrhills; Corbett Grace of Lake Wales; 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Thursday, November 09, 2006 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, November 10, 2006 at the funeral home with Rev. Steve Livingston officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
