Alvin A. "Bud" Valtinson

Alvin A. "Bud" Valtinson of Indian Lake Estates passed away Friday, July 20, 2012 at his residence.

He was born November 8, 1937 in Deer River, Minnesota to the late Alfred and Elvie (Berggren) Valtinson; and moved to Indian Lake Estates in 1999 from Miami. Alvin was a Supervisor for Active Dry Wall in Miami; he was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church and was an avid fisherman.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Geraldine Ann Hein Valtinson; daughter, Susan Valtinson of Valdosta, GA; son, Steve Valtinson (Dabney) of Longwood, FL; sisters, Doris Bowne of Seattle, WA, Barbara Morrison of Seattle, WA, Hazel Broadhurst of Idaho; brother, Willie Valtinson of Park Rapids, MN; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Fr. Anthony Bluett officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until service time.
