Alvin Sharp

Alvin Ray Sharp, 81 Alvin R. Sharp of Lake Wales, Florida passed away Monday, February 27, 2017 at Winter Haven Hospital. He was born March 23, 1935 in Gadsden, Alabama to the late Leroy and Estelle (McGinnis) Sharp. He has been a resident of the area since 2002 coming from Buckhead Ridge, Florida. He retired from United States Air Force as a Sr. Master Sergeant after 20 years of service, including a tour in Vietnam. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Lake Wales. He is preceded in death by his daughter Tina Marie Morse, and his first wife Angie Sharp. He is survived by his wife of 1 year Linda M. Sharp, son Kenneth A. Sharp (Susan) of Tampa, FL, step daughter Jeana Schickedantz (David) of Greensboro, NC, stepson James Martin (Colleen) of Atlanta, GA, 4 grandchildren (Mathew, Kendra, Micah, and Bethany), 1 great grandchild (Ashton)  and 2 step grandchildren (Sydney and Grace). Memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Lake Wales with Dr. Scott Markley officiating.
