Alvena Arnold of Frostproof, Florida passed away Thursday, May 9, 2019 at the Oaks of Avon.
She was born October 10, 1922 in Frostproof, Florida to the late Lewis and Caroline (Allbritton) Sheffield. She has been a lifelong resident and was of the Church of God faith. Alvena loved spending time with her family and flower gardening.
She is preceded in death by her husband Hardy Bryant Blackwelder.
She is survived by her daughter LuJean Plair of Lakeland, FL, sons Danny Blackwelder of Avon Park, FL, Lewis Blackwelder of Avon Park, FL, John Blackwelder of Indian Town, FL, brother Kelly Sheffield of Lakeland, FL, sister Ruby Cannon of Lakeland, FL, 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
