Almicna “Kyky” Morales Diaz, 73

Almicna “Kyky” Morales Diaz of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023 at her residence.

She was born May 19, 1950 to the late Ramon Morales and Francisca Diaz; she moved to Lake Wales from Puerto Rico 19 years ago. Almicna was the P resident of the secretary organization for Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. She was a musician and enjoyed singing. Almicna was a loving and caring mother and grandmother.

Almicna was preceded in death by her brother, Luis Morales. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Julio Acevedo Matias; sons, Julio Acevedo and wife Caroline of Lake Wales, Amil Alvarez and wife Jennifer of Auburndale, Omar Alvarez and wife Olga of Puerto Rico, Eric Alvarez and wife Maria of Puerto Rico, and Ionel Alvarez and wife Mirna of Delaware; sister, Irma Morales-Diaz of Puerto Rico; brothers, Eliezer Morales-Diaz of Puerto Rico and Mario Morales-Diaz of Puerto Rico; and ten grandchildren.
