FORT MEADE -- Mrs. Alma Rubess Trawick of Fort Meade died of heart failure Thursday (June 1, 2006) at home. She was 85.

Born in Homeland on July 16, 1920, she came to Fort Meade from Mount Dora six months ago. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of God in Mount Dora.

Mrs. Trawick was preceded in death by her husband, Wiley Trawick. She is survived by her daughters, Martha Lucille Mathews, Fort Meade, Sharon R. Fugua, Altona; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Frostproof Church of God. Burial will follow in Silver Hill Cemetery.
