Alma Sullivan Schlarb

Alma Sullivan Schlarb of Babson Park passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale.

She was born April 6, 1918 in Montgomery, AL to the late Raymond & Beulah Johnson; and she moved to Frostproof from Tampa as a teenager. She was retired from the Polk County Health Department and was of the Catholic faith. She was a member of the American Legion Auxilliary and the Frostproof Woman’s Club. She enjoyed playing bridge, dancing and music.

Alma was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard “Sully” Sullivan in 1966; second husband, Glenn Schlarb in 1999; and a sister, Betty Ivey. Survivors include her daughter, Helen Cross of Winter Park; sons, Jerry Sullivan (Lisa) of Lake Mary and Patrick Sullivan of Coral Gables; sister, Alice Childs of Satellite Beach; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held 11:30 am Monday, December 2, 2013 at the Silver Hill Cemetery in Frostproof.
