FROSTPROOF -- Mr. Allen Gentry "Buddy" Killen of Frostproof died of cancer Tuesday (March 14, 2006) at home. He was 72.

Born in Loretta, Tenn., on Feb. 21, 1934, he came to Frostproof from Winter Haven 14 years ago. He was a truck driver for Manning Citrus. He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a Baptist.

Mr. Killen is survived by his son, John Killen, Frostproof; brothers, James "Wayne" Killen, Auburndale, and Jerry "Bill" Killen, Bartow; sisters, Doris Maze, Wanda Jean Barnes and Betty Mickey Nalker, all of Winter Haven, and Mamie Sessions, Bradenton; and several grandchildren.
