Allan Frederick Ruprecht

Allan Frederick Ruprecht of Frostproof passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at the Orlando Regional Medical Center.

He was born January 23, 1920 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Charles Edward Ruprecht & Mae Berg Ruprecht; he came here from Fort Lauderdale in August of 1996. He was a retired auto mechanic for the City of Fort Lauderdale, a member of the Lake Wales Lutheran Church and a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed racing motorcycles, flying planes, boating and road trips.

Allan was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Mary Ruprecht in 2001. Survivors include his second wife, Ruth B. Ruprecht; daughters, Gloria Baker of Frostproof, Mary Lou Martincic of Pompano Beach, Lori Aker of Pompano Beach, Ulonda Becker of Breese, IL, Adrea Pontious of Norris City, IL, Valeda VanNatta of Nashville, IL, Ilesa Brough of Salem, IL, Tanna Pontious of Effingham, IL and Neena Jones of Geneseo, IL; sons, Brad Pontious of Breese, IL, Niles Pontious of St. Peters, MO, Brice Pontious of Ziegler, IL, Kevin Pontious of Salem, IL and Darrin Pontious of Mason, OH; many grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, January 15, 2010 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof with the family receiving friends at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at the Silver Hill Cemetery.
