ALLAN TAYLOR “HOOT” GIBSON, 83

Allan Taylor Gibson, 83, of Frostproof passed away Sunday, February 17, 2008 at his residence.

Born November 25, 1924 in Arcadia, FL; he has been a resident of Frostproof for 13 years coming from Fort Meade. He was the Principal at Fort Meade Middle School, a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Frostproof and a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include his wife, Dotty Gibson of Frostproof; son, Allan “Rusty” Gibson, Jr. of Grove City; daughters, Marie Mattox of Tallahassee; Suzanne Dixon of Grove City; and 3 grandchildren.

A celebration of his life will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 22, 2008 at the family’s residence, 1949 South Lake Reedy Blvd., Frostproof.
