Alicia Joy Gomez

Alicia Joy Gomez of Lake Wales, Florida passed away on Friday November 5 ^th , 2021, at the age of 69.

She was born on June 26 ^th , 1952, in Utica, NY to the late Edwin Folgelman and Wilma Jones and has been a resident of Lake Wales since 1976.  She dedicated her career in citrus for Hunt Brothers.  Alicia loved her family dearly, was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her son Eric Gomez and her brother Butch Hamm. Alicia is survived by her husband of 42 years Jose Gomez; daughter Melissa Baker (Matthew) of Dundee, son Charles Platt (Aimee) of Mt. Dora, and son Joseph Gomez (Vanessa) of Miami, and brother Eddie Folgelman (June) of Meansville, GA.

Alicia was also the proud grandmother of her 5 grandchildren; Macy Sebastian, Derick Gomez, Sullivan Platt, Gabriela Gomez; and Michelle Gomez.
