Alice Zacherl

Alice Zacherl, 94

Alice Zacherl of Babson Park passed away Friday, January 13, 2023 at her residence.

She was born in 1928 in Clarion County, Pennsylvania. Alice attended Saint Joseph’s High School in Lucinda, Pennsylvania and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1963. She was Station Manager for WUSF-FM and WUSF-TV in Tampa from 1968 to 1976. She was then employed by the Palm Beach County School System. For the last 13 years of her professional career, Alice worked for the Palm Beach Community College. Upon retirement in 1989, she moved to Babson Park. She was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lake Wales and the Council of Catholic Women.

Alice is survived by her sisters, Helen Godelski of Pennsylvania, and Ruth Hook of Largo; many nieces and nephews; many grand nieces and nephews; and extended family, including William Zach Holland.

A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lake Wales.
