Alice Katheryn Stone

Alice Stone, 87, passed away at her home in Frostproof.

Born in Boothspoint, TN, she moved to Frostproof in 1960 coming from Niles, MI. She retired from the Polk County Sheriff's Department and was a School Safety officer. She was a member fo the 1st Baptist Church of Frostproof, and of the Senior Citizens Fellowship Dining.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Stone, 1996.

She is survived by her daughter; Virginia Thornton of Frostproof; a sister, Mary Downing also of Frostproof.

5 Granchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-granchildren.

The family will receive friends at the First Baptist Church in Frostproof on Monday, 11/24/08 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
