WINTER HAVEN--Alice A. Garner of Winter Haven died of heart failure Sunday, January 14, 2007 at Orlando Regional Medical Center. She was 77.

Born April 21, 1929 in North Coventry Township, PA; she came to the area in 1994 from Elverson, PA. She was a retired executive housekeeper for Holiday Inn. She was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church of Auburndale.

Mrs. Garner was preceded in death by her son, Carroll L. Garner in 1982. Survivors include her husband, Walter Raymond Garner of Winter Haven; sons, Barry L. Garner of Birdsboro, PA; Walter R. Garner, III of Shillington, PA; brothers, Harvey E. Steltz, Jr. of White Field, NH; Melvin L. Steltz of Douglasville, PA; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will take place at Brownbacks Cemetery in Pennsylvania.
