She was born July 7, 1943 in Greensboro, North Carolina to the late Charles and Jenny (Belle) Shepherd and she has been a resident of this area since 1992 moving here from Ft. Myers, Florida. She was a retired Nurse for the Lake Wales Medical Center. Alice attended Winter Haven Worship Center and she loved to play cards.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Jesse Horace Duke, II; sons, Alan “Jabber” Duke and Christopher Alan Duke.
Survivors include her son, Jesse Duke III of Winter Haven, Florida; sister, Ruth Shepherd of Georgia; 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren
