Alice C. Bower, 86

Alice C. Bower of Lake Wales passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021 at her residence under hospice care.

She was born April 26, 1935 in Orono, Maine to the late Henry and Catherine Clement; she moved to Lake Wales from Charleston, South Carolina in 1988. Alice was a retired RN and was of the Catholic faith. She was a member of the Catholic Women’s Club and the Child Development Association.

Alice was preceded in death by her sisters, Joan Hatch, and Louise Balstad; brother, William Clement. She is survived by her husband, Ray Bower; daughter, Mary Linzmeier (Bob) of Kettering, Ohio; son, Stephen Bower of Kingman, Arizona; brother, Steve Clement (Ann) of Louisville, Kentucky; and sister, Frances Mishou (Ken) of Old Town, Maine; and grandson, Casey of South Lebanon, Ohio.

The family wants to extend a special thank you to Elaine and Maisey from Good Shepherd Hospice.

A visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lake Wales. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holy Spirit Catholic Church (644 S 9th St, Lake Wales, FL 33853) or to Good Shepherd Hospice (www.chaptershealth.org).
