Alfred Gerald Yelton, 85

Alfred Gerald Yelton of Frostproof passed away Thursday, June 18, 2020 at Palms of Sebring.

He was born July 20, 1934 in Brooksville, Kentucky, to the late Otho and Anna Bernice Yelton. He moved to Frostproof from Georgia one year ago. Alfred was a retired Master Sargent for the Army. He served two tours in Vietnam. He loved his peacocks and his grandchildren.

Alfred was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Virginia Yelton, who just passed on February 17 of this year. Survivors include his daughter, Sherri Y. Smith and husband Steve of Frostproof; son, Gary K. Yelton and wife Gina of Naples, grandchildren, Jeremy Rhodes and wife Millie, Joshua Rhodes and wife Alicen, Alex Ayers and wife Cherilyn, and Jake Yelton; and great-grandchildren, Savanah, Jackson, Kasen, and Alyssa.
