Alfred Newman Baker

Alfred Newman Baker, 75 Alfred Newman Baker of Haines City passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale. He was born July 30, 1945 in Monroe County, WV to the late Clifford and Catherine Baker; and came here in 1968 from West Virginia. He was a retired I & R Technician, of the Baptist faith and veteran of Korea, serving in the U.S. Army. He loved spending his time with his family and enjoyed golfing, bowling, baseball, softball, playing cards and bingo, and going to the casino. He has bowled several perfect games and even had a hole in one. Alfred was preceded in death by a son, Michael Burns. Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Elaine Baker; daughters, Cindy Ayers (Ray) of Thomasville, NC, Joellen Maiese (Carman) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Krystal Eddings (Bryan) of Lakeland; sons, Danny Baker (Robyn) of Winston Salem, NC and Randall Baker (Angie) of Lexington, NC; sister-in-law, Sheila Geddings (Bubba) of Haines City; niece, Mattye Geddings of Haines City; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. No services are scheduled at this time.
