Alex J. Cutcher

Alex J. Cutcher of Lake Wales passed away Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale.

He was born June 18, 1937 in Flint, MI to the late Alex J. & Ruth Alice (Kinney) Cutcher; and he came here from Kissimmee, FL in 1998. He was a retired security chief from Island One, was of the Catholic faith and a veteran of Korea and Vietnam, serving in the U.S. Army.

Alex was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie F. Cutcher; parents; brother, David Cutcher; and granddaughter, Tiffany Cutcher. Survivors include his daughters, Laurie Edwards of Lake Wales, Linda Adams of Elsie, MI, and Renee Hawthorne (Scott) of Washington; sons, James "Jimbo" Cutcher (Shelley) of Ovid, MI, Rob Freiburger (Teresa) of Davenport, and Russell Cutcher of California; brother, Gerald Cutcher of Winter Haven; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until the funeral service at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales.
