Agnes Harriet Comfort

Harriet Comfort of Lake Wales passed away Monday, April 2, 2012 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

She was born July 14, 1918 in Hawthorne, NJ to the late Samuel Henry & Agnes L. (Barton) Williams; she resided in Massachusetts and Maine before moving to Frostproof in 1957 and then to Lake Wales in 1977. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lake Wales, where she was active in Sunday school, Goldenheirs, Senior Adult Choir, Snappy Seniors and a member of the Gideon's International Auxiliary.

Harriet was preceded in death by her husband, Aram in 1992. She is survived by her step-daughter, Betsy Anne Gibbs and son-in-law, Alfred H. Gibbs of New Hampshire; five grandchildren and two great- grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Lake Wales with Rev. Scott Markley officiating. Interment will follow at the Silver Hill Cemetery in Frostproof.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Building Fund, First Baptist Church of Lake Wales, Gideon's International, or a charity of your choice.
