LAKE WALES--Agnes Eldessie Ard, 93, of Lake Wales died Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at the Groves Center.

Born December 09, 1913 in Dale County, AL; she came here in 1949 from Dale County, AL. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She loved to quilt and sew.

Survivors include her daughter, Joan Underwood of Lake Wales; son, Doug Ard of Lake Wales; sister, Myrtle Carpenter of Ozark, AL; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until service time at 4:00 PM, Saturday, September 29, 2007 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Holman Funeral Home will be in charge of the burial in Alabama.
