Addie “Pearl” Meeks, 86

Addie “Pearl” Meeks of Frostproof passed away Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Advent Health Lake Wales.

She was born August 4, 1934 in Brendage, Alabama to the late Leroy and Katie Mauldin. She moved to Frostproof from Alabama as a child. Pearl was a homemaker.  She was of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed cooking and raising her children.

Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Meeks; daughter, Janey Kelly; son, Milton Meeks; sisters, Mary Jo Eldridge and Merle Hathaway; and brother, Leroy Mauldin. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Ciszek of Tennessee, Martha Brown of Largo, and Tammy Wiggins and husband Cotton of Frostproof; sons, Carlton Meeks and wife Teresa of Frostproof, Kenneth Meeks and wife Janice of Wahneta, and Tommy “Tump” Meeks of Frostproof; son-in-law, Paul Kelly of Frostproof; sisters, Seanie McGhee of Frostproof, and Deanie Ellis of Frostproof; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Silver Hill Cemetery.
