Abbie A. Forney

Abbie A. Forney of Babson Park passed away Friday, April 23, 2010 at the Winter Haven Hospital.

She was born May 28, 1936 in Bruce, WI to the late Selwyn and Bernadette (Weishaar) Forney; and came to Babson Park from California in 1974. She was a Registered Nurse, retired LTJG of the U.S. Navy Nurse Corps, Licensed Massage Therapist, member of the National Association of Nurse Massage Therapists, member of the Third Order of Saint Francis, and of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include her longtime spouse, Jim Brinkworth; sister, Mary Lou Talens and her husband, F. Frank Talens, M.D. of Fresno, CA; half-brother, William Baker of Medford, WI; nieces, Kathleen Talens of California, Rosemary Talens Moakley of Honolulu; and nephews, Michael and Mark Talens of California.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday, April 29, 2010 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home, Lake Wales. Funeral Mass will be private. Interment will take place at the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Goodland, IN.
