Concepcion "Connie" Ybanez

Concepcion “Connie” Ybanez of Bartow passed away Friday, July 10, 2015 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

She was born February 11, 1948 in Corpus Christi, Texas to the late Juan Garcia and Elia Zamora; and she moved to this area from Fond du Lac, WI in 1988. She was a retired cook and attended the First Baptist Church of Lake Wales. She enjoyed playing bingo and taking care of her family.

Survivors include her husband, Marcelino Jimenez-Cruz; daughters, Esperanza “Hope” Lopez (Sergio) of Lake Wales, Diana Sanchez of Lake Wales and Laura Ybanez of Bartow; sons, Jay Ybanez of Fond du Lac, WI, David Ybanez of Fond du Lac, WI, Esequiel “Kike” Vasquez-Ybanez (Juan Carlos) of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; sisters, Sandra Calderon of Lake Wales, Dora Gomez of Haines City of Haines City and Elizabeth Garcia of Lake Wales; brothers, Robert Garcia (Beth) of Oshkosh, WI, Ruben Garcia of Jacksonville and John Garcia (Rolinda) of Lake Wales; and 19 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 until the funeral service at 1:00 pm Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales.
