Idell McCall of Frostproof passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012 at her residence.

She was born June 17, 1915 in Brevard, NC to the late William Oliver and Lora Mae (Galloway) Tinsley; and came to Frostproof in 1933 from Brevard, NC. Idell was a homemaker, a retired employee of Ben Hill Griffin, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Frostproof, where she served as Sunday School Secretary for over 40 years. She loved quilting, crocheting, and making crafts. Idell loved being with people and going out to dinner.

Idell was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph McCall; three children, two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Survivors include her daughters, Lora Mae MacPherson of Valrico and Joyce Elaine Davenport of Frostproof; sons, Roland K. McCall of Tampa and Kenneth L. McCall of Tyler, TX; sister, Dorothy Goodwill of Stuart; brother, Donald Tinsley of Deerfield; 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 28 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until the Funeral service at 3:00 PM Sunday, June 17, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Frostproof, with Rev. Darrol Hood officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Somer's Hospice House (1110 Hammock Road, Sebring, FL 33870).
