Charles Raymond Cobb

U.S. Veteran

Charlie Cobb of Frostproof passed away Thursday, May 3, 2012 at his residence.

He was born March 10, 1935 in Fort Thomas, KY to the late Joseph Marion & Kattie Mae (Ruddell) Cobb; and he came here from Dayton, OH in 2004. He was a retired office equipment salesman, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in the U.S. Air Force.

Charlie was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Ann (Shaw) Cobb; one son, Bruce Leonard Cobb; his parents; two brothers, Noble Cobb and Earl Cobb; and one sister, Louise Brooks. Survivors include his wife of 12 years, Jennie Cobb; daughter, Karen Clark (Dan) of Dayton, OH; son, Kenneth Cobb of Dayton, OH; step-daughter, Jessica Ward of Frostproof; step-son, Ryan Gross of Missouri; seven grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Monday, May 7, 2012 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Lake Wales.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation (Post Office Box 23827, Tampa, FL 33623-3827) or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (Donor Services, Post Office Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202).
