Roger R. Brackett of Indian Lake Estates passed away Monday, April 16, 2012 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

He was born July 21, 1923 in Buffalo, NY to the late Richard & Marion (Cane) Brackett; and he came here from Akron, NY in 2001. He was a self employed contractor, member of the Indian Lake Estates United Methodist Church and a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the American Legion and the Key Club in Indian Lake Estates.

Survivors include wife, Jeannine Meahl; sons, Douglas Brackett (Leslie) of Cazenovia, NY and Keith Brackett (JoAnne) of Oak Hill, FL; step-son, Ricky Meahl (Ramona) of Akron, NY; step-daughters, Carmen Halbach (Gary) of Parker, NY, Kimberly Beck (Roger) of Clemmons, NC and Misty Scharf of Buffalo, NY; brother, Darwin Brackett of Williamsville, NY; 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held 1:30 PM Thursday, April 19, 2012 at the Indian Lake Estates United Methodist Church.
