John H. Andrews of Dundee passed away Friday, March 30, 2012 at the Astoria Health & Rehabilitation Center in Winter Haven.

He was born March 29, 1927 in West Palm Beach to the late Harvey James & Iva Jane (Hern) Andrews; and he came here from Fort Lauderdale in 2003. He was retired from the Dade County Sheriff's Department and was of the Protestant faith He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Merchant Marines and a veteran of Korea, serving in the U.S. Air Force. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed golfing, camping and being outdoors.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Jean Andrews; two daughters, Jacquelyn Lynn Rohan (Guilbert) of Port St. Lucie and Jocelyn Hope Devlin (Patrick) of Fort Lauderdale; a brother, Harvey Andrews of Trenton, MI; a sister, Alice Josephs of Laguna Beach, CA; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
